Assistant Principal

Dear Goshen Elementary School Parents, Community, and Stakeholders:

It is my pleasure and honor to serve as the Assistant Principal of Goshen Elementary School. My mission is to continue the rich history of academic excellence that this school has displayed for many years. It is truly an honor to serve our community. Also, I look forward to continuing to work with the dedicated faculty and staff in providing the best program for our students, as well as, helping the school to continue to expand.

I have served the last thirteen years in various positions within education. I started my education career as a 1st-grade teacher at E.D. Nixon Elementary School. After years of teaching, I moved into an administrative role in Lee County Schools. I always wanted to return to the Elementary School setting, so I decided to become an Assistant Principal in Conecuh County. I obtained an Education Specialist degree, a Master’s Degree, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Alabama State University. I have a beautiful family, who keeps me “on the go.” When I have some downtime, we enjoy spending time with extended family, reading, and traveling.

As the Assistant Principal, my goal is to inspire others and provide the necessary guidance to help others obtain their goals. I believe it is important to cultivate the highest quality service to every student, parent, teacher, and stakeholder. I believe a leader should create an environment of collaboration and teamwork in which members can utilize one another’s strengths to counter individual weaknesses. A leader is someone who empowers others, provides the necessary guidance, listens well, encourages creativity, and provides a team with thoughtful vision and strategic planning. I feel it is important to deeply understand the needs of the people and to thoughtfully consider the impact of one’s actions on others.

Through a close partnership with staff members, parents, and the community, I am confident that we can make our school a place where our students can continue to learn and grow academically and socially. Please feel free to stop in and say hello, as my door is always open. I look forward to an awesome school year. If there is anything I can assist you with, please feel free to let me know.
