I am Taylor Gore and I am one of the four Kindergarten teachers here at Goshen Elementary. I am from Daphne, Alabama, where I lived my entire life until I moved to Troy to begin my collegiate education at Troy University in 2015. Since I moved to Troy, Pike County has become home to me by giving me lifelong friends, coworkers, and teachers that have become family. I graduated from Troy University in December 2015, where I was involved in many clubs and organizations. I served as president of Student Alabama Education Association, was a member of Phi Mu Sorority, and was involved in Student Alumni Association. I also worked as a teacher at Mother’s Day Out at First Baptist Church of Troy for 4 years throughout my college experience. In the summers, I spent my time working at summer camps and nannying young children in my community.
Like many people, I have always known I wanted to be a teacher and I am excited to be doing what I have eagerly worked so hard to become. I can credit the passion that I have for teaching to many teachers who have influenced my life since I was young. My goal is to influence the students in my class, and the children that I come in contact with each day, in the same ways that so many teachers have impacted my life. I have a passion for children and being given the opportunity to teach children each day brings me so much joy.
