It is an honor to begin my 1st year as Principal at Goshen Elementary School. I was at Goshen High School as Assistant Principal for the last two years and love the Goshen Community and Pike County Schools. I am married, and we have three boys and a daughter-in-law. During any break or free time, I enjoy being at the beach, and spending time with family and church family.
I grew up in Lake City, Florida and started my career in education as a kindergarten aide in 1994. I graduated with my BS in Early/Elementary Education from Florida A and M University, an MS in Curriculum Instruction/Reading Education from the University of West Florida, and an EdS in Elementary Education from Troy University.
I was an elementary classroom teacher for eight years and reading coach for two years before completing my leadership certification from the University of Alabama in 2007. I have experience as a Principal, Assistant Principal, and Literacy Coach at Elementary, Middle, High School and PK-12 schools.
I look forward to this school year and working with everyone at Goshen Elementary School.
