Bio

Hey! My name is Kim Middlebrooks. I am originally from Decatur, Alabama. I moved to Troy 5 years ago when I married Edward Middlebrooks. Together, we have two wonderful pups named Sandy and Mellie. As a little girl I traveled all over the south with my parents and their business as chicken house builders. As I grew up, I traveled through reading books set in far off places. Now, I travel to see the places I read about.

I believe that everyone can be passionate and be inspired to learn, it is up to us to help them discover what that passion is and ignite the fire to learn. As the new STEM facilitator, I hope to achieve just this. I want to provide students with the materials to solve problems and discover the world around them. Through this process, I believe real learning can take place. Students can learn to problem solve and not fear failure. They learn to work as a team and ask for help when needed.
